  1. My Most Excellent Year by Steve Kluger looks interesting. It seems like it would be somewhat edgy based on the content in the book preview, and if I got the chance I'd enjoy reading it. I'm also interested in Spud by John Van de Ruit since it's been described as similar to Catcher in the Rye, one of my favorite books. Wake by Lisa McMann and Wicked Love by Melissa Marr look like they might be good, but i'm not a huge fan of the teen girl romance novels. I can see those either being a nice surprise or flops. But again, given the chance I'd read them.

Three authors that aren't on the page that I love are John Green, David Levithan, and Stephen Chbosky. They're my favorite young adult authors. I feel so connected to their stories and characters in all of their books, and I'd love for them to release more for me to read.

  2. "oh my gods" and the rest of the series written by Terra Lynn Childs looks really good :). I've heard a lot of good things about it, so hope to be able to read that soon. It's modern times, about greek mythology, in the life of a high school girl who moved to Greece with her mom and fiance. At her new school, the students are nothing close to oridinary becuase they are all descended from greek gods, and partake in their powers. So it sounds like a very fun read. Jenny B. Jones is my favorite teen author. She wrote "Save the Date", and the "Charmed Life" trilogy, along with a bunch others i hope to read soon. But i look forward to finding the "oh my gods" series and reading into those!

  3. I loved reading 13 Reasons Why, and Lessons From a Dead Girl looked vaguely similar, so I would be very interested to read that. Like Michael, I thought My Most Excellent Year and Spud both looked like good reads, especially since they seemed controversial. I really dislike supernatural teen romances (think Twilight) so the Wicked Love didn't appeal to me as much. Impossible seemed interesting, like something different, but it isn't a priority to read. I also really like reading memoirs, so Three Little Words looked interesting.

Another young adult author I like is Sarah Dessen. Her books tend toward a stereotypical teen romance and are often sappy, but they are usually slightly more complicated and interesting. I like her books when I want a light read with a happy ending.

  4. I would love to read the book Oh My Gods by Tera Childs. Phoebe recently finds out she's a descendant of the god Nike. While this book is about Greek gods, it has a modern twist that I think I will like.I enjoy reading books about Greek mythology so I think this book will be a perfect fit.

Fantasy books are my favorite and I am looking forward to reading a book called City of Bones. This book is about shadowhunters who fight off demons. I can't wait to start the series and continue to read more of Cassandra Clare's books.

Jenny B.Jones is a Christian "teen" author, who writes amazing books, that are no where close to cheesy. They would be a great addition to our FPD library. They are a step up from the Christy Miller and Sierra Jenkins series. Like i mentioned before, i haven't read all her books yet, but the ones i have are really hard to put down.
